About TV4 Media Manager

TV4 Media Manager is an advertising booking tool where TV4 brings together several advertising opportunities in one system. This allows companies and agencies to easily plan, book and follow up on their advertising campaigns on TV4.

Through one and the same platform, it is possible to decide where, when and to whom the advertising should be directed. For example, if you want to reach out broadly across the country or target advertising to a specific target group, geographical area or time period.

The advertising booking tool is open for booking 24/7, all year round, and you can pay with either credit card or invoice.

TV4 Media Manager will be launched in June 2024 and is a shared platform with Finnish MTV.

TV4 Media Manager gives you the opportunity to buy advertising space on most of TV4's channels and digital streaming services. The linear channels include TV4, Sjuan, TV12, TV4 Fakta, TV4 Film, TV4 Guld and TV4 Sportkanalen. Digital advertising is distributed on TV4 Play and other services that offer TV4's content, such as Telia Play, Comhem Play, Telenor, Allente etc.

You can buy advertising space through ready-made campaigns designed to maximize reach or target a specific geographic location, for example. It is also possible to tailor your own campaign in TV4's digital and linear channels.

The price varies depending on where and when you want your ad to appear. The price is also affected by the length of the creative. When you book a campaign in TV4 Media Manager, the cost per thousand contacts is always visible and you are never charged for more contacts than you have booked.

Mediaplan

A media plan brings together multiple campaigns in one place. As an advertiser or agency, you can tailor a media plan that accommodates one or more campaigns. It can include different media types, such as a combination of digital advertising and sponsorship, or several different campaigns of the same media type, such as TV commercials in different lengths or during different periods.

Invoicing and delivery guarantees are always handled at the campaign level, and each campaign must be linked to a media plan.

Yes, even if you just want to book a campaign, it needs to be tied to a media plan. This involves nothing more than giving it a name.

A media plan allows you as an advertiser to combine different media types, film lengths and periods in one and the same plan in a smooth and easy-to-understand way. In addition, if you add a campaign part afterwards (larger budget during the same period) or combine different target groups during the same period, the collection in a media plan ensures that your film cannot clash in the same commercial break.

Book promotions

A campaign in TV4 Media Manager is a purchase of advertising space with a selected ad length. You can use multiple commercials/ads in a campaign, but only with the same length. You can combine several different campaigns in one order in TV4 Media Manager and thus plan for different ad lengths, channels, services and periods.

When choosing a campaign type, it is good to keep both your communicative goals and budget size in mind. TV4 Media Manager also offers ready-made campaign types to maximize reach, create frequency, reach out locally or through pure digital or linear campaigns. In general, the digital world offers more control options than the linear one.

On TV4, advertising is always exposed in a premium environment with maximum visibility and credibility, while the advertising message is displayed next to program content that engages viewers. The vast majority of viewers also watch via a large screen, which means that the campaign message has the best opportunity to reach potential customers.

A contact corresponds to a person who has had the opportunity to see an ad, unlike an impression which means that an ad has been distributed technically. In other words, one impression can generate multiple contacts because people often choose to consume content together with others.

TV4 works with Nielsen and MMS to verify impressions and to measure how many contacts the distributed impressions have generated. As with most technical implementations, it is challenging for a third party to validate every single impression, but the goal is to verify the absolute majority.

For all broadcast advertising, TV4 tracks actual contacts delivered via MMS. For digital ads, TV4 uses the methodology of counting all distributed impressions and applying the actual combined viewing per campaign, measured and reported by Nielsen/MMS. This way, you as an advertiser can be sure that the number of contacts are people who have had the opportunity to see your ad.

Choose to pay directly by credit card or later by invoice. If you choose to pay by invoice, you will receive the first invoice on the first day of the campaign and then an invoice every 30 days until the campaign ends.

You can follow the campaign's progress under the "Performance" tab when you open the campaign in TV4 Media Manager. Delivery data is updated every morning.

When you are logged in to TV4 Media Manager, you can change your budget on campaigns that are still marked as "Draft". In this case, click on the three dots to the left of the campaign name and click "Edit". You can also cancel a confirmed campaign up to five weeks before the first day of the campaign.

Control possibilities

When you select controls in TV4 Media Manager, this means that you only pay for contacts in, for example, the area, demographic group or time of day that you have selected. However, this is not a guarantee that someone outside the target group will not see the ad. Contacts outside the desired control are, however, free of charge.

Regional targeting gives you, as an advertiser, the opportunity to advertise in 26 defined geographic areas. Areas can be freely combined in the same campaign. The targeting is based on first-party data and is based on the verified zip code where the user lives.

Creative material

The creative is the image or video that is shown to your target audience once the campaign has gone live.

You can communicate with your customers through video or break ads.
When communicating via video, the commercial can be from 5 to 30 seconds long and you can add a click-through URL and a tracking URL to ads that are displayed digitally. For video ads, except when delivered via a VAST URL, you always need a movie code for TV4 to distribute the ad. Create one by uploading the commercial to Cape.io or Adstream.

If you prefer to communicate through break advertising (JPG, PNG), you can upload it directly from your computer. Use this option when the advertisement is a single image and already contains the image and text you want. It is also possible to create a break advertising from scratch in TV4 Media Manager.

If you choose to communicate through sponsorship, the billboard is developed in collaboration with TV4 to ensure that the legal requirements for sponsorship are met.

All advertisements that you upload or create are always available in TV4 Media Manager in your "Creative Library".

Ongoing promotions

If for any reason you need to stop an ongoing campaign from delivering, go to the campaign in TV4 Media Manager and send an email to TV4 from there and you will receive help shortly.

Yes, it's possible. You can both add ads to a booked campaign and deactivate a creative, but keep in mind that it may take a few days for such a change to take effect.


To see the status of your campaign, go to the campaign page in TV4 Media Manager. The campaign may have the following statuses, among others:

  • Draft: Campaigns that you haven't submitted yet have a status of "Draft."
  • Pending: Submitted campaigns have the status "Pending" until they have been confirmed by TV4.
  • Confirmed: TV4 has checked the campaign and confirmed your booking.
  • Live: The campaign has gone live and is delivering views.
  • Completed: The campaign has met its budget and is no longer delivering impressions.
  • Canceled

You can cancel a campaign up to 25 working days before the campaign starts. After that, you need to send an email from the campaign in TV4 Media Manager to TV4.

Follow up

You can follow the campaign's progress in TV4 Media Manager. Delivery data is updated every morning.

Depending on the settings you choose when exporting a report in TV4 Media Manager, different metrics are available. For example:

Booked contacts: The number of contacts that were included in your budget when you created the campaign.

Budget: The budget that was specified when you created the campaign.

Clicks: The number of clicks that occurred during the specified period.

Delivered contacts: The number of contacts that occurred during the specified period.

Completion rate: The proportion of contacts that have seen 100 percent of the ad. In broadcast advertising, all contacts are counted as completed. In digital advertising, only viewers who have seen the ad from start to finish are counted.

CTR: "Click-through-rate" is the number of clicks received, divided by the number of delivered user contacts. CTR is presented as a percentage.

Payment

Choose between paying immediately by credit card or later by invoice.

If you choose to pay by invoice, you will receive the first invoice on the first day of the campaign and then an invoice every 30 days until the campaign ends. If you pay by credit card, you will be charged immediately.

If your creative was delivered on time and your campaign delivers fewer contacts than booked, you will receive a refund in the form of a voucher that can be reinvested in TV4 Media Manager. Please note that underdeliveries of less than SEK 500 are not automatically refunded as a voucher. However, TV4 notes any underdeliveries and if the accumulated value exceeds SEK 5,000 we will issue a voucher.

When paying by credit card, you will be automatically refunded if the campaign delivers fewer impressions than booked. Please note that the validity period of the credit card used to purchase the campaigns should cover the entire delivery period for all campaigns that were included in the order, as refunds can only be issued to the same card that was used to pay for the campaigns. More information about the refund policy can be found in the terms and conditions.

Please note that the full delivery guarantee only applies to campaign periods of at least 14 days. For shorter campaigns (less than fourteen days) we will do our best to deliver your campaign as planned, but if something unforeseen happens, the full delivery guarantee does not apply. My account

Update your account information by clicking the user icon in the upper right corner when you are logged in to TV4 Media Manager. Then click on your profile and edit it.

Reset your password by logging out and changing it from the login page. You can also edit your password in your profile while logged in.
